Prevention of the presence of micro-organisms in fuels using Biocidal Agents
Biocidal products are "substances capable of eliminating or controlling the proliferation of micro-organisms capable of causing damage to humans, animals and the environment. The different chemical families of biocidal compounds have varied profiles of action, but all of them share the characteristic of being lethal to micro-organisms under a certain set of circumstances that make them viable for commercialisation", but have the following problems:
They do not have the same ability to mitigate the concentration of micro-organisms in both the aqueous phase and the fuel. Usually have limited spectrum of microbial activity. Has an inhibitory effect in the presence of other substances. Often corrosive in fuel systems. Degrades fuel properties. Not generally safe for both human use and the environment. High cost. Approximate price of about 50 per 1,000 litres of fuel. Forces you to use it indefinitely once the problem has arisen.
But the main problem is that they do not resolve the problem definitively because if a small amount of microbial residue remains, it will reproduce over the months. Therefore, indefinite maintenance is essential in case of a first detection of microbes.
FDR System is a machine that has the capacity to clean, refine and disinfect fuel contained in hydrocarbon tanks (ships, vehicles, petrol stations, fuel tanks of distributors, etc.).
The present invention covers the need for an easy, definitive, economical and efficient solution to this problem, as the solutions currently available on the market do not meet any of these characteristics.
This patent is now on sale.
